Hardware engineering

Hardware development is V4 electronics main activity usually divided in four phases: ideation, design, engineering and validation. Usually the projects are engineered as complete service in all phases. We can take over any portion of the develoment process partially as well.

Normally the first phase in our development process starts by defining the scope of the problem and ends with a proof of concept prototype. This phase recognizes the demand for the product to be developed and defines its specifications. The technical specifications, manufacturing guidelines, testing procedures, and other conditions and constraints are determined in this phase.

In the next step, we evaluate the current state of the available solutions and, through an interactive development process, we prepare the plans, procedures and design of the processes that are necessary for the product to meet the requirements. We deliver the final product together in cooperation with the client in several steps, where we take into account all feedback and reach the set goal in a transparent manner through regular meetings.

The final hardware product is fabricated and assembled during manufacturing phase. Our goal in this phase is to deliver the reliable product that meets the specific design requirements in a cost-effective way when produced in series production process. We can also produce up to a few 10s or a maximum of 100 pieces. We have all the necessary equipment and know-how to produce small batches.

Testing and verification is a process that we carry out throughout development.

Finally, we prepare a validation test of the functionality of the developed product with a systematic evaluation and execution of some in-house testing. In this phase, we prepare everything necessary for the final validation and provide all the necessary support for the product certification together with our customers according to the required standards when applicable.
